In early March the school completed a Leave No Trace enviromental workshop.
This was an opportunity for the students to learn about the outdoor environment. They took part in scavenger hunts and nature quizzes. The activities got them thinking about the impact that recreational activities can have on the natural environment and other people, and looked at how they can reduce any adverse impacts through projects within the school and local community.
The entire school took part in a litter pick, we now have a litter rota in the school. Every lunch two students do a sweep of the yard picking up any litter that may have been dropped.
A big thank you to Eoin McMahon of Leave No Trace Ireland
