The children had a wonderful day on the 21st of June. The bus arrived at 9 o'clock to collect everyone and bring them to their first destination of the day, the Dunbrody Ship in New Ross. They enjoyed a guided tour around the ship and heard two accounts of what life would have been like on board. One from a First Class passenger and the other from a Steerage passenger, it seems that all the children and teachers were happy to have escaped having to emigrate to America on board a Famine Ship!
From there the bus visited Fethard-On-Sea where a guide joined our tour. We were told many captivating tales including a very interesting account about a pirate at Slade Castle.
At that point the children were ready for the active part of their tour and were very eager to get moving in Leisure Max. They had a fantastic time playing upstairs, enjoying football and sumo wrestling, to mention a few. When all were suitably hungry they enjoyed their dinner and ice-cream before playing bowling. Prior to their journey home they received one more surprise, many goes on a gigantic slide.

A great day was had by all and I'm sure they all slept soundly that night!!!
